Overview

Arrays of Yagis, dipoles or LPDAs for higher gain and a narrower beam; H-frame, mast, clamps, Wilkinson divider.

From the simplest to the most complex: two antennas stacked, up to 4 × 2 Yagis on an H-frame with Wilkinson dividers, phasing and a Chebyshev taper.

Typical performance

  • VSWR < 1.5 over the element band, e.g. 430–440 MHztypical
  • Gain increase: 1 × 2 ≈ +2.5…+3 dB, 4 × 2 ≈ +7…+8.5 dBtypical
  • Polarisation: as the elementtypical

Typical values describe the antenna class, not a guarantee for a unit; “computed” marks our own simulated example.
